I am the lead singer and rhythm guitar player for the band. Every time I play  with this band I feel honored to share the stage with such great players as Pat, Tom and Jesse .I try to sing every song like its my last chance to sing. While  onstage, I feel the passion for both the lyrics and the music as they come  directly out of people, feelings and events in my life.

This band gives me the opportunity and platform to convey important  concepts while entertaining many people. No front man or songwriter is complete without a  great rhythm section and lead guitarist. I am lucky to have both.

I named this band after an herb which is believed to boost a person's  immunity to sickness. I thought this name was appropriate as I have always wanted to perform music which is uplifting and leaves the listener with a  positive feeling. As for the other legendary uses of goldenseal, I make no comment and leave that to peoples' imagination. I will, however, comment  that I credit the herb with heading off more than few colds when taken in combination with echinacea.

I have to mention and thank my family, especially my Mom and Dad who instilled in me a love of music and writing. And to my sister Julie and all my siblings, who have driven so many miles and brought so many people to our gigs that  I could never possibly thank you. And, of course, there is always Pamela who as  everyone knows is the finest muse a philosopher could ever hope to find.

I believe in the contract that exists between musician and fan. Accordingly, I decided several years ago to surround myself with the best musicians and people I could find and to give 100 percent every gig I play. With this band,  and the fans I call myself lucky to have, part of this dream has come true. And  the rest of the dream is yet to be written.

Peace,
